REVIEW: Fanatico - Take It All incl Matthias Vogt remix on BluFin records

Jorge Socarras about TAKE IT ALL

When Mathias Schaffhäuser and I got together in Barcelona this summer (2015) to work on a second installation of songs for our Fanatico collaboration, we had five tracks that we had been working on via long-distance for some months. We booked three days in a modest studio in the Poble Sec neighborhood, and planned our schedule accordingly. As has been the case with the two of us from the onset, everything went as effortlessly and enjoyably as could be, with plenty of time for lunches in the warm Barcelona sun. On the third and last day of our booked studio time, finding that we had finished recording all my vocals a few hours ahead of schedule, Mathias casually mentioned that he had a another track he’d been working on that he’d like me to listen to. He played it and after listening for a minute or two, I went to the mic and started improvising a melody and some lyrics. Within minutes, we had a new song, “Take It All.” The track felt like an affirmation of the easy flow of our collaboration, and the words an expression of where I feel I’m at on this musical journey called life. The song has become a special favorite for me precisely because of its spontaneous nature, and as an example of what Mathias and I reach for musically as Fanatico – the unexpected. We’re equally delighted by the participation of Matthias Vogt in taking it all to yet another level, bringing out a different aspect of the song that makes it sound new to us as well. We hope listeners will “take it all” to heart.

Dimitri Kechagias review: The beloved record label from Cologne is back with another stand out track that makes instantly the difference. Fanatico is back with Take It All and the great project by Mathias and Jorge is taking our minds to new highs. Brilliant deep melodic techno with lovable lyrics and passionate 80's electro pop touched vocal that will definitely make this great record a hit for sure. Hypnotic deep funky basslines, techy tribal grooves, early 90's synthy hooks, acid touches and great travelling arrangement that carry you away. Matthias Vogt delivers 2 different remixes. The original vocal mix is deep tech house at its best with minimal deep basslines, cinematic strings, cool synthy lines and percussion that has the organic warm feeling that will drive you in the middle of the dancefloor to sing a long the dark melancholic lyrics. The dub mix will be cool for the non vocal laid back relaxing afternoon early evening  sets. #PureGold Love it
