This October, Black Hole Recordings introduced a new vocal name to the electronic music domain. The man behind the Lyonheart mask is by no means though a singing/songwriting tenderfoot. Over the last half-decade or so, he’s notched up club hits alongside the likes of (hey, hint!) BT, Oakenfold, Chicane, MYNC & others. However, with ‘Amelia’, his lead-out single (and into 2016, a full artist album), he’s ushering in a new sound, feel and era to his music. Holland’s label-finest are blazing Lyonheart’s trail with a run of remixes that take the radio-oriented Original Mix and repoint it in the direction of club floors. After the versions from LTN and Somna, Black Hole’s third remixer takes a cooler, more chilled approach to the track. Regular Roger Shah production cohort Brian Laruso shuffles in the timbale percussion and delivers a dusk-tinged version, which gives Lyonheart’s vocal more of a lamenting, summer-ending wistfulness.Louis ‘LTN’ Tan spins the harmonies far and wide and, with escalating
synth ascension, matches ‘Amelia’s vocal tone note-for-note.
Dimitri Kechagias review: The stunning voice behind Lyonheart is one of the coolest singers around and certainly deserves to have big success. His track Amelia is a passionate track that is already included in many playlists thanks to the great remixes. If you love the deep balearic house sound then you will adore the balearic tribal grooves, deep haunting basslines, xylophone melodies, balearic guitar riffs and warmth that supports wonderfully the awesome vocal to shine. LTN is one of most upcoming names in the scene and his version is absolutely stunning. Pulsating energetic basslines, pounding powerful techy grooves and rough edgy sounds. The breakdown is sweet and smooth with piano melody that highlights the heartfelt performance. The climax moves on the full on hands in the air euphoric progressive trance sound that is anthemic and Ibiza kissed for sure. Somna remix is an excellent mainstage big room make over that has the right levels of energy and emotional touch to make you jumping and sing a long passionately the very memorable lyrics. Great colourful melodies and anthemic atmosphere that will bring a wide smile in your face. Top remixes so far for Amelia! #PureGold Love It
