REVIEW: Ray Okpara & Christian Nielsen - Alibi EP out on Danse Club records

After Ray Okpara’s (AMA, Mobilee) previous remix on Danse Club, he now joins forces with Christian Nielsen (Play It Down, 8Bit) in a collaborative EP consisting of two knock-out club tracks each with a dub version for those who like it strictly rhythm. The A-Side ‘Alibi’ had been tried and tested on the road and to great effect with it’s infectious drawn-out vocal breakdown and it’s funk filled, heavy groove. As always with Danse Club EP’s this has been selected by Brodanse for it’s effectiveness on the ‘Danse Floor’ and it’s ability to get bums moving.

Dimitri Kechagias review: One of the coolest tech house record labels is of course Danse Club Records. Every release very unique underground urban moody dark tech house of the highest quality that can certainly make your booty bounce. The latest Alibi EP is coming from  Ray Okpara & Christian Nielsen and will give you many excuses to swing your hips and let yourself shake it without any inhibitions. The Original mix is an excellent super hypnotic tech house smasher with dark moody bassline, moody techy dominating groove that is shaped along with vocal snippets and cool percussion elements. The distorted vocal adds character and identity to the track and easily you loose yourself to its rhythm. The dub mix as you can imagine is minus the vocals for those who would like to focus on the magnificent tapestry of warm and dangerous sounds. Never Stop is a much more funky tech house beauty with playful rhythm, deep dark metallic basslines, raw edgy drums and variety of ambient sounds and even some melodies thrown in for a good measure. The Dub mix adopts a lighter groove with minimal techy bassline and groove with added vocal snippets and adventurous sound design. If you prefer something freaky and totally underground don't miss it. Love it
