Dimitri Kechagias review: One of the true legends of electronic music is the awesome Chicane. Without doing considerable buzz and heavy marketing campaigns around his name, Nick has been loved and adored just for his ability to compose awesome music that passes the test of time and can be easily labelled as eternal. Take for instance his latest Ibiza EP that includes Ibiza Strings and Ibiza Bleeps. Both tracks move on 125 BPM and can be loosely described as melodic progressive trance with electronic feel we always expect from Chicane. The question that is in your mind is of course if those tracks when you listen to them you think straight away of sun drenched seasides and happy dancing people in sexy swimwear. The answer is that both tracks have that Ibiza feeling to them from start to finish. Ibiza Strings as the title suggests is a magically arranged track with simple but very infectious hypnotic synthy riff combined in the breakdown with melancholic chill out strings with cinematic quality. The climax is driving and emotionally satisfying so better let the inhibition go and join the dancefloor. On the other hand Ibiza Bleeps is an equally engaging and highly attracting track with playful sunkissed piano theme that brings to your mind balearic house while the energetic bassline has a Giorgio Moroder feel to it with hypnotic synthy melody surrounding your senses. Electronic music that you can dance too and feel inspired a little bit as well. #PureGold Love It
