REVIEW: David Forbes - Jetpack / Slipstream out on Outburst records

David Forbes has been a long term friend of Mark’s since the very early ‘rave days’ of the nineties and has been a true ‘partner in crime’ when it comes to their involvement in the Scottish dance scene! He is one of the most talented and gifted (and diverse) producers out there, so it’s our pleasure to welcome him to Outburst with this absolutely ‘electric’ EP of massive proportions. Both of these tracks will fit into two different times of the night with ‘Jetpack’ being a really evil peak-time banger and ‘Slipstream’ being one of those crossover tracks that can be played alongside maybe some chunky & progressive slower gear, but can also be pitched up and dropped in a harder/faster set. This from David EP is set to impress, we love it - check it out!

Dimitri Kechagias review: Outburst records has its own unique and truly diverse tech trance essential sound. The brand new release comes from the safe and trusted hands of David Forbes. The EP includes Jetpack and Slipstream. Firstly Jetpack is an energetic tech trance burner with banging techy grooves, pulsating crunchy basslines, swirling synths, side chain effects and great breakdown with dark moody rave style synthy riff that will bring shivers to all the rave heads in this planet and beyond. This is real tech trance with style and class. Second top production is called Slipstream. For this record, David goes for something that is darker, moody and truly dangerous. With cool dark synthy hook running along the wobbly techy grooves while the long and teasing breakdown is packed with monstrous sharp dark synthy hooks that cut like knives and will make you scream for sure. If you search for the ultimate tech trance bulldozer dont look any further! #PureBassMadness Love It
