REVIEW: Ben Nicky - 680 out on VANDIT records

01: '680' (Original Mix)
02: '680' (Radio Edit)
03: '680' (Clean Version)

Over the last 12 months 'Brave Heart', 'Air' and 'Heart Go' have provided a whopping 1-2-3 of floor-waxing, speaker-spanking, club-amping entries to VANDIT's august discography! The man behind 'em all is Mr. Ben Nicky and he now adds a 4th, every-bit-as locomotive number to that list.

When Ben finds inspiration somewhere, the UK-based producer doesn't interpret it by halves. Melbourne sound emporium Room 680 has proved such a stimulus and studio-side he's trance-translated the club's unchained energy into a highly infectious, title-applicable outing.

Porting that Room 680 experience to a tee, the track throws down with a floor-provoking tempo, 303 burn and a vocal that's plenty tongue-in-cheek and about as NSFW as they come! Break-side, Ben suffuses the pads, brings in the strings and elevates the synths, triangulating them all into '680' jaw-to-the-floor climax!

A club hit signed, sealed and dancefloor-delivered, '680's drops large from today.

Dimitri Kechagias review: VANDIT records is one of the most important and highly influential and truly significant record label. The latest release by Ben Nicky is called 680 and we deal here with an energetic prime time euphoric uplifting trance anthem of the highest quality with aggressive punchy basslines, pumping grooves, vocal snippets and some very naughty vocal samples along with acid overtones on the top. The breakdown is very beautiful indeed with piano melodies and euphoric synthy hooks along with heavenly melodies. The classic VANDIT style synthy riffs are awaiting for you to give you excitement and awake your senses. You can expect goosebumps and shiver that will raise the hair from your neck. The climax is uplifting and euphoric to the maximum with hands in the air synths, piano melodies and epic strings offering the pleasure for mind, body and soul. Acid overtones are added to keep the dancefloor energised to the maximum. If you want a version without the dirty words for radio use the clean version is added to the package. I hope more trance labels will follow that example because many tech trance records use bad language that is not possible to play on radio stations. #Enjoy the destruction. Love IT
