REVIEW: Super8 & Tab feat. Julie Thompson - Patience (The Remixes) out on Anjunabeats

A tumultuous tale of dying love, Super 8 & Tab's "Patience" (feat. Julie Thompson) perfectly sums up the emotive heart of the Finn's "Unified" album. With the LP now seeing a full extended mix release, "Patience" receives 4 dramatic dance floor remixes from Estiva, Tom Fall, Thomas Mengel and Super8 & Tab's explosive club interpretation.

Ratcheting up the tension for a volatile release, Super8 & Tab's Club Mix is a stormy affair. A heavy, driving bassline invigorates the dark and twisted chords giving it a stadium sized appeal, a favourite in their spring sets.

Making a welcome return to the label, Holland's Steven Baan aka Estiva marries a vintage trance riff with contemporary production elements for his thoroughly modern interpretation; already finding support from Above & Beyond and Armin van Buuren.

Another label returnee, Finland's Tom Fall amps up the pads and heavily twists the vocal for another high energy vision, while Denmark's Thomas Mengal's makes an assured Anjuna debut with his synth heavy take.

Dimitri Kechagias review: One of the most noteworthy albums of the year is of course Unified by Super8 & Tab. The brand new single from the remix edition of this very stand out album is Patience with the beloved Juile Thomspon on vocal duties. The package includes 4 must have versions. The Club mix by the Finish boys themselves is a powerful big room electro trancer with sharp basslines, heavy drums and melodic sweet breakdown followed by maddening wild and freaked out drop. It's tailor made for mainstage sets without doubts. The always awesome Estiva is on board and he does what he knows best! His version is very creative with unique wonky basslines, chunky thumping thunderous groove and emotional melodies on top. He applies the full vocal in the sensitive atmospheric breakdown followed by rough and furious climax packed with colourful synths and romantic undertones. It actually recalls Estiva style that we knew before his decision to move towards the Hardwell style. Tom Fall never fails to impress me. The young Finish talent provides the explosive high class big room house meets trance hybrid that remains faithful to the sweetness of the original but with that full on Tom Fall attitude that will move even mountains. Lastly Thomas Mengel who becomes synonym of dancefloor destruction service the aggressive Ibiza prog house friendly version that take advantage of the original melodies and he comes up with the mainstage cranker that will make you jump like there is no tomorrow! #PureGold Love It
