REVIEW: Sean Tyas - Da Doo Da Dah out on Subculture

Degenerate Sean Tyas makes a long overdue visit to John O’Callaghan’s Subculture label - bringing with him a precise and clinical tech monster with overtones of psy and techno fused perfectly with a killer riff and uber cool German electro vocal loop.

This is the dark overlord of a record that you find yourself yearning for at 4.30am when the drinkers have gone home and the real party begins.

In this new wave of Sean Tyas monster productions, where under his Degenerate moniker he takes things harder, tighter with more melancholic melodies - “Da Doo Da Dah” stands out as a powerful force to be reckoned with.

It is prime time material of collosal proportions and a fitting new chapter to the Subculture story.

Released May 4th

Dimitri Kechagias review: The exceptional record label Subculture that is more like a way of life rather just a label brand goes deep underground and finds one of the hard working gold diggers. Mr Sean Tyas delivers his #PureGoldBass anthem Da Doo Da Dah. It's extremely loud record that doesn't like compromises and doesn't like easy solutions. Sean Tyas with his track abandons his more uplifting side for a full on tech trance smasher that bangs ultra hard and smashes some mainstages for sure. Rough aggressive mouthwatering basslines, banging thumping drums with sharp and edgy kicks while the breakdown reveals that indie rock guitar riff and the strange male vocal that just sings Da Doo Da Dah. The drop is very vicious with synthy stabs and full on tech madness to make you feel dizzy straight away. Da Doo Da dah is one of those records that will make heads turn around and take a notice and try to figure out what this drunk guy in the breakdown sings about! Its right and exact Subculture Weapon! #PureGoldBass Love It
