REVIEW: Axel Bless & Maxon - Medusa out on VOID records

The title ‘’musical prodigy’’ is often reserved for a young person having extraordinary musical talent or ability – we call him Axel Bless.

Across the progressive and electro house apex, UK based Axel Bless is a sheer imprint of what this generation’s dance music phenomena is all about. Grasping a bunch of major releases and gaining global recognition, it is clear that the future looks bright for this up and coming producer.

Over his impressive catalogue of topline official releases on Armin Van Buuren’s imprint, Armada Music, Universal Music France and Romania’s leading dance label called Roton Music, Axel has already been supported by the leading DJs including Paul Van Dyk, Paul Oakenfold, Kaskade, Mark Knight, Markus Schulz and more.

Being a absolute fan of talented vocalists, he has already released official remixes for Romanian pop diva called INNA, signed a deal with Universal Music France/Mercury Records due to remix officially the official Tomorrowland Anthem’s of 2010 and David Guetta’s major radio hits vocalist, Tara McDonald as for her single ‘’Fix Of You’’. Additionally, Axel has another major remix release under his belt, this time for Amanda Wilson’s ‘’Like I Like’’ single, who has sang countless club-hits for the names of Chuckie, Freemasons, including the major radio hit ‘’ Seek Bromance’’ along with Avicii.

2015 sees a studio meltdown for Axel, with anticipated releases set to soar, while epic collaborations are in force. Watch out for Axel as he continues to push the boundaries of his craft to the limits and provide the world with priceless moments and music of a prestigious momentum.

Born in Germany and raised in a small village next to Essen, Oliver Melchers (Maxon) first touch with music came by a gift (a keyboard) from his Grandma when he was 8 years old. From this moment on Oliver was addicted to music and spent all his free time for making music. He played in several bands since he was 12 years old and started to record and produce music at the age of 19.

Maxon's productions are influenced by his classical music education, film scoring and role models like Steve Angello, Hans Zimmer or Jack Trammell. His pumping progressive house debut single ‘Pulsar’ was signed to Patric La Funk brand new label Trusted and has been supported by names like Marcus Schossow. He didn’t rest on his laurels and just three months later the ambitious German producer collaborated with Xanti for a melodic powerhouse track called ‘Meloria’, which was released on Peruse Records.

In September 2014, Maxon signed to the free record label AVANT/GARDE owned by London-based German producer & DJ Chris Avantgarde. Under the watchful eye of label head Avantgarde, Oliver increased his production skills and shows his talent in cinematic- and electronic-influenced dance music. With ‘Valve’, which is a collaboration with his friend Aachtone, getting released in late November on the label, fans can also expect a solo record to be released on the aspiring record label in 2015.

Supported by Artists like AN21 / DubVision / Marcus Schossow / Gazlind / Merk & Kremont / Henrix / Quintino / Chris Avantgarde / Danny Avila / Anevo / Delayers / Wayne & Woods / Xanti / Patric la Funk / Corey James

Dimitri Kechagias review: VOID records from Sweden is a brand new label with great releases so far. The latest one is called Medusa and comes from the safe hands of Axel Bless who has proved himself with releases on big record labels and he waits his moment that will explode out of proportion. The Greek born producer and dj who is currently living and studying in UK has prepared along with the upcoming dj & producer Maxon from Germany, the unbelievable club banger Medusa that manage to enter the beatport Top 100 with support from all the big boys such as Alesso, Deniz Koyu, Chuckie, John Dalhback, Sick individuals, Paris Blohm, Danny Avila,Tristan Garner, and many more to come. On this super fat club cracker you can expect marching drums, punchy basslines, electro inspired sounds and superb cinematic strings that add depth to the final result. The breakdown reveals a very large hard rock guitar riff along with melodramatic drums and cinematic piano chords. The build up of that great theme moves towards the orchestral classical music sound with touches of rock. The climax is aggressive, vicious, fast and furious to the maximum that will energise your body and make you go wild without doubts. Medusa as you may know is a mythical creature of the Greek mythology and the record Medusa sounds larger than life and truly of mythological proportions and ready for summer festivals main stages. #PureGold Love It
