REVIEW: Eximinds - Handprint (with Vigel) & Atlas (with Yan Space) out on ASOT recordings

A mere nine months after their last release on the A State Of Trance imprint, Russian duo Eximinds turns to the same spot for their next impressive release. For ‘Handprint’, they teamed up with fellow-countryman Vigel, delivering a record that storms through any club.

‘Atlas’, the second single on the E.P., has been done in collaboration with Yan Space, yet another talent from Russia. It demonstrates a more melodic approach, but is by no means less energetic or powerful than ‘Handprint’. No one other than Armin van Buuren himself handpicked both records to include on his highly anticipated A State Of Trance 2015 compilation. And, to be frank, both records absolutely deserve it!

Dimitri Kechagias review: ASOT recordings is rocking the big room trance stages and is now the time for the always on the edge Russian duo Eximinds to return with the huge EP that includes 2 massive anthems that already are part of the classic ASOT 2015 compilation. Handprint is co-produced with Vigel and is what we always expect from Eximinds. Great ideas with melodic structure and harmony while the drop is more electro infused and aggressive to keep the big room crowd entertained and club promoters satisfied while the breakdown is packed with orchestral classical music influences and romantic sweet pianos. On the top they sprinkle it with great vocal samples that work to build the tension and the outstanding global style atmosphere. When you hear it the only image that comes in your mind are sweating crowds having fan and feeling the positivity of great trance take over their control. Secondly is Atlas with Yan Space that I will characterise as classic progressive trance with bubbly grooves, deep pounding basslines, classic trancy heavenly voices, acid overtones and inspirational synths that give you shivers as long as they surface upon the warm sound waves. It's very well arranged and echoes Armin van Buuren mainstage sets straight away. #PureGold Love It
