Danse Club has built up a solid reputation with DJs for putting out music made specifically for the floor - the original ‘Train Of Thought feat. Elli’ by Brodanse was no exception and was played by a number of underground heavyweights including Maya Jane Coles, Art Department and Kate Simko.
Danse Club have now pulled together a remix package from nearly 300 entries via their Beatport Remix Competition and commissioned a timeless remix from Tom Flynn (Hot Creations, 8Bit, Viva).
The package contains three totally unique interpretations of Brodanse’s ‘Train Of Thought’ all made specifically for the ‘Danse’ Floor!
Dimitri Kechagias review: The beloved Brodanse from London release finally the winners of their remix competition on their hypnotic collaboration with the fantastic mysterious Elli. Train of Thought is already considered as tech house classic and now 3 magnificent additional versions will make you feel totally and utterly depended on its magical powers. The first remix comes from Tom Flynn who transforms the track into an energetic deep tech house smasher with relentless groove, moody dark basslines, superb synths, airy pads and the hypnotic vocals distorted and placed in the background. It's one of those remixes that easily absorb you in its microworld and your feet is tapping to its rhythm straight away. The Russian Ki.Mi is the remix winner and he deserves to win it with his exceptional touch. His version is deep haunting mouthwatering and absolutely outerspace. The old school basslines, the dark industrial strings and fantastic chunky crunchy groove along with the garage infused drums combined in perfect harmony to build the sonic soundscape that you are obliged to inhabit! It's one of those tunes that obliged you to follow them on the dancefloor without trying too much. We recommend Ki.Mi for more releases on Danse Club. Lastly Deox from Croatia unleashes the nasty techy beats and create an outstanding minimal techno version with detailed sound textures and emotional electronic melodies that add warmth and hypnotic soothing trancy like qualities.
