Following an incredible year, which included his debut at Tomorrowland among a plethora of production highlights, including his much acclaimed Afterall, Colombian maestro KhoMha kicks off his Coldharbour 2015 presentation with a mammoth EP.
Leading track Never Going Back sees KhoMha dive into the soul, with a breathtakingly beautiful melody surrounded by driving tech-fuelled darkness. The Alchemist is a highly addictive and energetic alternative, and provides an essential momentum builder in any set. And for those who like their sounds grinding and dirty, El Malo is a drawing magnet.
As he prepares to grace Miami's Ultra Music Festival for the first time, these three tracks demonstrate that KhoMha is in rude health. The winner will be those on the dance floor.
Dimitri Kechagias review: Coldharbour recordings is not what it used to be in the past. While in the first years the sound of the label was warm, dark and moody, the last years the label has reposition itself in the scene by delivering mainstage sounds perfect for the big electronic music festivals that seems to expand in every continent. One of the most accomplished producers who is strong member of the Coldharbour family is the beloved KhoMha. For his latest EP delivers three brand new shinning and sparkling tracks that will bring the maximum of enjoyment and will crossover from big room house to mainstage trance sets. El Malo is a highly anthemic track that has one of the most memorable melodies that you will never forget easily. Tough drums, percussion melodies, pumping basslines and superb classical music infused string in the breakdown followed by the massive euphoric synthy riff that leads the track to the full on hands in the air euphoric climax that will keep the crowd going for long. From Hardwell to Nicky Romero and beyond this is mainstage music at its most creative and fresh. Never Going Back adopts a much more electro house influenced bassline, rolling drums, cool sound effects and of course great breakdown that builds the tension slowly until to reach the orchestral classical music sequence that adds the epic melodramatic tone. The drop is heavy and ruthless as you wanted to be so better let those inhibitions go. The Alchemist is huge powerbanger with sharp edgy bassline that bytes, rough drum programming and swirling synths that drive you mad on the dancefloor. The breakdown is truly cinematic with chorus style opera vocals and long and teasing synthy plucks followed by the warped synthy riffs and marching drums that build the tension and bring the track to its revolutionary drop packed with punchy basslines, fat sub bass and hands in the air colourful synthy riffs. #100%Miamibangers Love It
