Egyptian DJ and producer Hazem Beltagui has been not so quietly building up quite the tracklisting here on RNM with his offerings ‘Silent For So Long’ with Susana and the more recent ‘Learn to Forgive’ with Sue McLaren being incredibly well received by the Trance Community. This time around Hazem is teaming up with Shannon Hurley to give us ‘An Open Heart’.
Shannon is definitely no stranger to collaborations, teaming up with the likes of Alex M.O.R.P.H, Protoculture and Mike Shiver. These two talented artists combine here on ‘An Open Heart’, an atmospheric vocal trancer with a slightly darker feel. Shannon delivers a striking performance equally matched by Hazem’s quality production.

Don't expect to get the huge anthemic leads and the massive euphoric synths on this one. Hazem rather decides to move on the more soft floating trance direction and delivers an exceptional deep dreamy calming trance beauty. Shannon voice is crystal clear and you can sense that she feels every little word she sings about. Her performance has the reassurance magic in her lyrics that cast a spell on you and make you think of those lyrics many hours after leaving the dancefloor. Very well produced track with superb deep basslines, haunting atmospheres, chopped vocal samples and light synthy hooks that along with cinematic strings and relaxing piano chords leads the track forward. Its one of those tunes that perfectly bring the right mood and atmosphere in your progressive part of your dj set. #PureGold Love It
