Retrospective influenced trance is back on the menu as we warmly welcome a trans-Atlantic collaboration between two fairly fresh faces in the scene.
Darren Flynn, together with Paul Denton, presented us with the beautiful vocal offering ‘Say My Name’ with legendary Irish trance songstress Audrey Gallagher last summer which was caned by just about every single credible trance jock going! For this outing Darren pairs up with San Francisco based DJ / Producer Derek Ryan who is no slouch either, chalking up a host of releases since 2010!
‘Aozora’ is a beautiful trance production which has all of the quintessential elements that make uplifting trance the hair-raising experience that it is. A big sweeping low end consisting of a sharp kick and tough bass line layers fuse with epic chord plucks to create a sense of euphoria whilst expertly crafted vocal edits unite, ramping up the rapture! A classic 90’s style chord sequence ensues evoking memories of those gone but not forgotten tunes!
Back to the future in 2015!
Dimitri Kechagias review: Trance is all about duration. When it lasts for long you know that is simply outstanding like the nearly 8 minutes Aozora by the beloved producers Flynn vs Derek Ryan. Their collaboration seems to be an exciting opportunity for all the trancers to experience a wonderful straight to the point trancer that you don't want to stop listen to it even after many times that you had it on your car stereo in full volume and on repeat mode while you are travelling with your clean and shinny car bouncing and floating around. Of course this kind of tracks have only one physical space and that is the large sound system of a club or super large festival. The tough pounding metallic drums combined with energetic rolling basslines, superb euphoric synthy riffs and vocal chops that work perfectly to create that heavenly trancy atmosphere. The breakdown is long, teasing and atmospheric with luscious melodies, dreamy sound effects, airy pads and fluorescent synthy plucks that slowly build the tension as the main euphoric synthy riff is unleashed to bring excitement and happiness on the dancefloor. Then short silence and the beat strikes back for the tech trance section with cool melodic themes and acid overtones as well. The next short breakdown reveal again the euphoric synthy hooks that finally lead the track to its full on euphoric anthemic melodic section that will please your mind, body and soul. Great trancer that is emotional, enlightening and still underground. #PureGold Love It
