The Bearded Man once devised an underlying theory of the universe. Somewhere during day seven of his (at the time) world record breaking period of going without sleep, the hallucinations began to creep in. The effects of sleep on the brain hadn’t fully been explored, but one thing’s for sure: he was tripping. Hard. As swirls of light formed apparently sentient clusters around him, he saw what appeared to be the trees kissing each other in the forest in front of him. In his delirious state, he felt at one with the universe.
It was in this moment that he posited that light and dark, yin and yang, one and zero, on and off, attract and repel, might indeed be the only building block of the entire universe. He thought this principle, when carried out over billions of years, could be solely responsible for the intricate complexities we experience today. Does it explain how Ben-E & Falki created ‘Naihi’? Eh, Probably.
Dimitri Kechagias review: The exceptional record label The Bearded Man returns with another classy, edgy, eclectic electronic house beauty called Naihi by Ben-E & Falki. The producers apply tribal rolling groove, deep driving basslines while they decorated beautifully with piano chords, guitar riffs, percussion melodies and superb cinematic strings that add great warmth and tenderness. Its smooth, sweet, melody, relaxing and very danceable at the same time. Its the perfect soundtrack for the flower power generation of 2015. It will create the perfect atmosphere, will change your mood and make you smile for sure. With vintage elements, romantic touches and transfer to a glorious past that maybe never existed Naihi is tailor made for Spring and summer holidays. #PureGold Love it
