ADE 2015: First speakers: Robert Hood / Juan Atkins / Gui Boratto plus Join ADE in Austin for SXSW

The world's leading electronic music conference is delighted to announce the presence of two people credited with being amongst the true originators of the Techno genre. On top of that, one of Brazil's finest producers will be joining the conference line-up, and you can find ADE in Austin this week.

For any techno lover, Atkins is one of the greatest but also one of the least widely recognised for his amazing and pioneering work.

For any techno lover, Atkins is one of the greatest but also one of the least widely recognised for his amazing and pioneering work. So we’re delighted to be able to put the record straight by giving him the chance to tell a story in his own style.

In a keynote presentation featuring music and commentary, Juan Atkins will be presenting his version of the history of electronic music in 20 records, as a celebration both of the enduring appeal of the electronic scene and ADE’s 20th anniversary.

Gui Boratto is a studio animal and a live performer who loves his machines and loves to share his knowledge and expertise.

Gui Boratto has remixed the Pet Shop Boys, Massive Attack, Trentemoller, Battles, Agoria and Goldfrapp as well running his own label DOC, home to Elekphantz. He is a true studio animal, and a live performer par excellence who loves his machines and loves to share his knowledge and expertise. At ADE he’ll be giving a guided tour of some of his favourite machines.

The Detroit based, multifaceted artist Robert Hood will be revealing what motivates him at ADE Pro.

Robert Hood is on a roll right now with his label M-Plant re-releasing and re-mixing some of his classic tracks, and his Floorplan project proving to be hugely popular.

Widely regarded as the man who puts the funk into techno, Hood will be revealing what motivates him, how he keeps going 30 years into a career that continues to grow, and what he’ll be up to next creatively.

In a separate session, Hood will be onstage with the people who make his busy, globe-spanning career run like clockwork including his management team, agent and distributor for a The Team Behind…..session.
