Dimitri Kechagias review: Dj Yodis is one of the most active producer from Cyprus. He has of course his own record label and radio show and deserves to get wider recognition cause his talent is self evident if you listen his latest EP on Magic Island records. Magical uplifting trance that has all the energy and incredible melodies to take you for an impressive ride that will stay in your mind forever. Firstly comes the awesome main track Catching Fire. Its straight to the point uplifting trancer that respects the rules and conventions of the beloved genre with driving hi-nrg basslines, pumping bouncy grooves and colourful Ibiza influenced positive synthy themes. The breakdown is the moment that the stunning singer Christina Maria performs with her classical music trained voice the heartfelt inspirational lyrics. It's impossible not to feel uplifted and touched from her expressive vocals. The uplifting synths introduced and the track goes to the full on hands in the air uplifting trance climax that is so refreshing, rejuvenating, optimistic and absolutely mouthwatering on the way that Dj Yodis only can produce of course. The final breakdown includes a very interesting breakbeat part that is floating and on the top the hair raising vocals added as well.
