REVIEW: Michael Woods - Tequila Nites out on Armada Music

We’ve all been there… And those of us who’ve been there before will certainly be there soon, no matter how many times we’ve sworn ‘never again’. Yes, those ‘Tequila Nites’ are a special breed.

They’re some of the best and worst moments of our lives, washed out in a beautiful blur. Michael Woods captured the energy of a legendary evening perfectly in this tune, and when it’s over, you’ll have no choice but to play it all over again.

Dimitri Kechagias review: Michael Woods is considered as one of the most influential progressive house legends. His music is energetic, melodic and absolutely crowd friendly. His release on Armada Music is called Tequila Nites and on this one Michael shows his teeth and ability to produce tracks that are not easy for music journalists to compartmentalise as it exempts any of the known categories. Its of course mainly forward thinking ground breaking production that has whatever you can ask from a record that targets the mainstage sets of progressive house and big room trance djs. Pulsating pumping drums, driving intense basslines and superb breakdown with epic synths followed by wonderful uplifting hands in the air section that recalls melodies of the 80's with some disco touches. The drop is energetic with electro infused playful basslines and tough drums that will keep the crowds jumping and swinging with hands in the air. Second fantastic breakdown continues on the same pathway with feel good euphoric section until the drop does the trick and returns for the final dancefloor attack. Tequila Nites is a massive festival favourite anthem that will get multiple plays in the coming months. Love It
