The 3 astronauts on board Apollo 8 became the first humans to travel beyond low Earth orbit, the first to see Earth as a whole planet, to directly see the far side of the Moon, and then the first to witness Earthrise.
This is something that in our lifetimes nearly all of us will probably never get to see and can only imagine, or try to express what we would feel if we were ever lucky enough to be in that position.
The View From Apollo (Original Mix) by Danny Stubbs was previously released by us as a 2 track EP alongside 'Search For Sirenia' in October 2014, and we felt that the melody and theme were worthy of a full release accompanied by a remix from somebody who would understand the theme and would do it justice.
That's why we chose Simon Templar, every single one of his originals and remixes capture a superb atmosphere. Simon's mix takes the original parts and gives them a dark, driving Prog Trance feel which gives you goosebumps.
