This year, Armada Music very proudly announced that Armada Music has received no less than 18 nominations within 13 different categories for the annual International Dance Music Awards. Once again, as a previous five-time winner, the record label is once again being nominated for the ‘Best Global Record Label’ award. Maykel Piron, CEO and co-founder of Armada Music is in the running for ‘Best Music Label Promoter Or Exec In-House’ again, after receiving the award in 2010, 2011 and 2012. Armin van Buuren, co-founder of the label, received 7 nominations in 6 different categories.
Armin van Buuren, 2013’s winner of ‘Best Global DJ’ has nominations for ‘Best Global DJ’, ‘Best Trance Trance Track’, ‘Best Compilation or Full Length DJ Mix’, ‘Best Trance DJ’, ‘Best Podcast or Radio Mixshow DJ’, and his headphones are in the running for ‘Best Headphones’. Drew Hill’s ‘Talk To You’ was nominated twice in the ‘Best Underground Dance Track’ and ‘BestHouse/ Garage/ Deep House Track’ and Armada received a stunning 4 nominees in the category ‘Best Trance Track’ with Andrew Rayel, Armin van Buuren twice and BT, Fractal & JES. As we look back on over a decade of nominations and awards, we would like to take a moment this year to do things a little differently than in years past.
