REVIEW: Meeka Kates - Closure out on The Bearded Man / Armada Music

If you’re going to be heading west down Sunset Boulevard in a convertible at some point, and let’s face it, it’s going to happen sooner or later, there are only so many jams that you’d be proud to blast from your ride. The Bearded Man knows this — that’s why he chooses his tuneage with the skillful precision of a master surgeon at the height of his craft.

When mustache combing through his crate of tapes, he always picks Meeka Kates’ ‘Closure’ for the perfect low-rider anthem.

Dimitri Kechagias review: If there is one label that had a huge impact in the previous year that must be The Bearded Man. The label with the most unconventional name manage to establish itself as an eclectic provider with faithful army of  followers that increase continuously. The latest must have The Bearded Man style track is Closure by Meeka Kates. Stunning production that we can define as lounge eclectic house with hypnotic groove, danceable sexy rhythm, funky deep basslines, saxophone samples and magnificent Michael Jackson / Motown music influenced vocals that crawl under your skin instantly with soulful edge that will talk to the hearts of Europeans in the canals of Amsterdam to the busy roads of New York in the other side of the Atlantic. The only drawback is that even the extended version ends with fade that is not very helpful for the djs that would love to play it in their relaxing smooth sexy sun drenched dj sets. Closure is one of those tracks that after listening to it two to three times you feel that you need a daily dose of it to feel good. 100% Smooth Eclectic Romantic Chilly House beauty! Love It
