After lighting up the charts and sending shockwaves around the globe with their debut Mondo EP last year, we just had to get Local Heroes back on the label for more of their much loved sound.
Kicking off their 2015 account, they continue in fine form and serve up their latest double header in the form of the ‘Hera EP’. ‘Hera’ opens the EP in typical Local Heroes fashion with a slick groove, bags of energy, a killer bass line and those lush chords that will send any crowd into a frenzy.
On the flip there’s ‘Backdraft’ which takes things a little techier thanks to its slamming groove, dirty bass line and sumptuous melody. The guys sure know how to create timeless club moments and they’ve really hit that spot with their latest offering. Huge!
Dimitri Kechagias review: Mondo records is always about quality and great releases that stand out the tough test of time. The brand new release by Local Heroes is the full on proglifting EP with the title Hera which includes 2 high class compositions ready to blow the speakers and energise your senses. First of all is the fantastic Hera. Emotional progressive trancer with long and atmospheric breakdown that is based on the very sweet, tender and relaxing piano melody. Suddenly huge epic synthy stabs appear and the breakdown includes a dubstep like sequence of heavy clashing beats and basslines. The climax is euphoric full on hands in the air with colourful synths, anthemic strings and as foundation chunky basslines and pumping bouncy grooves. Modern futuristic trance with hypnotic melodies running all over the place. The 2nd top track is called Backdraft. For this track things are moving towards the big room meets the tech trance direction with aggressive sharp and deadly basslines while the pulsating groove will keep clubbers jumping and pumping around. The breakdown starts with massive euphoric synthy riffs that will raise the hair from your back followed from the fantastic rave style distorted warped electronic synthy riff that leads the track to its mindblowing mouthwatering hands in the air climax. Armin van Buuren in his mainstage trance sets would adore to play this smasher! #PureGold Love It
