Dimitri Kechagias review: Craig Connelly releases are always big news in the trance scene as every trance fans has big faith and trust to him and his abilities to compose exceptional trance anthems. His abilities are illustrated in the most loud and proud way in his newest single Shipwreck. For this uplifting full on euphoric trance anthem he collaborates with my favourite singer in trance tracks that is of course the exceptional Cate Kanell that I would love to see with her own album as she really deserves it. Shipwreck is everything that you wish to get in an uplifting trance track and even more without becoming sweety or cheesy. Pounding pumping drums work merged with energetic full on high nrg basslines while on top percussion style melodies and euphoric synths along with cinematic strings create the perfect soundbed that the shinning queen of trance Cate Kanell delivers her breathtaking performance that has depth and emotional substance. The lyrics are inspirational and meaningful for many trance listeners that will feel that are directed to them as can easily identify with the story she sings about. The breakdown is very atmospheric without any melodies to destruct your attention from Cate until of course the main synthy theme is introduced and leads the track to its unbelievable climax that is euphoric to the maximum.
