Dimitri Kechagias review: AVA recordings is one of the highly regarded and very respected label in the trance scene that is result of careful selection of the tracks that finally are released after road testing from the label honcho Andy Moor. The latest artist to get release is the fantastic Yang with Amy Kirkpatrick on vocals. Its called Hearts At War and only from the title you can guess that is another example of high class trance that will get million plays around the world. The original mix is a modern neo progressive trancer with very danceable tribal rhythm that recalls Ibiza and balearic trance style. The emotional sunny synths and the energetic electrified bassline drive the track forward while some chopped vocals are added until Amy comes out in the surface and start performing with her magnificent deep emotional and must be classically trained voice. The ride continues effortlessly and we take a short break on the long breakdown that piano melodies highlight the emotional turmoil that Amy describes in her deeply meaningful lyrics. The build up brings the needed intensity and finally the track explodes in the euphoric arena on the full on hands in the air magical floating climax that offers the perfect pay off moment for any vocal trance lover.
