Dimitri Kechagias review: Tiger records reveals another amazing remake of one of the most important tracks in the history of music. The beloved song Running Up That Hill by the legendary Kate Bush returns. Kate is well known for her appreciation and active use in her music making of synthesisers and samplers with noteworthy progressive approach and well ahead of any electronic music producers. Running Up That Hill was used recently in the closing ceremony of the Olympic Games in London and is translated into a powerful deep house meets deep techno anthem that will dominate the clubfloors in the coming months. It is produced by the mysterious Tiefenrau5ch from Germany and will definitely update this monumental piece of music for the new generations. It starts with deep pounding bassline and tough metallic kick without giving any hints until the first breakdown comes in and the well known melody from the original is revealed played by nice piano chords. The deep dark bassline strikes back while the superb vocals appear with those deeply emotional vocals and lyrics that are written to our DNA. The new singer that has many similarities with Placebo singer who have covered the track back in 2010 used here adds with his voice a darker industrial punk attitude that definitely works with the darker moody techno approach and recalls the magical atmosphere of the original. The track is decorated with variety of sound layers and textures that create the impression of a very rich complex sound sphere that you are obliged to get immersed in it sooner or later.
