Dimitri Kechagias review: It's a fact that when everybody loves your art something you should do wrong because there are always people that must not like what you do as much. Orjan Nilsen is one of those artists that he started by being trance and he moves now on a different pathway. For that reason his older fans feel left out from the party and those who are more openminded appreciate what he is doing and most importantly adore his consistency to be an innovator/leader and not a follower. Orjan Nilsen has changed his sound because he observe in his dj sets that the tracks that seems to work better and get bigger responses are those big room epic trance anthems that big room house djs can play as well. Actually he has his own hybrid style and on Shenanigans is evident. It is not matter of luck that Armin chooses to release under his own record label this truly unique composition. You can sense from the very beginning that this track will grow slowly on you with great drum programming, deep pounding basslines and sounds that recall dark techno with depth and warmth that is noteworthy. The breakdown is simply infectious with straight forward synthy plucks that slowly get louder and more sharp playing that epic melody that casts a spell on you and will be hard to forget it when you hear it on radio or club and festival that is it's natural space for performance. The drop is euphoric and dynamic to the maximum so be prepared for the unexpected. The next small break teases the listener with techy effects until to land on the dark and gloomy sequence that will conclude the track without giving some of the euphoric synths to taste again. This is 100% Pure Orjan Nilsen! Love It
