REVIEW: Markus Schulz - Seven Sins (Transmission 2014 Theme) out on Coldharbour recordings

The Czech capital of Prague has played a heavy influential role throughout Markus Schulz's storied career, primarily thanks to his affection surrounding the incredible Transmission extravaganza.

Now approaching its eleventh home edition, Transmission has grown to become the flagship indoor arena event for trance music; and the Miami native has contributed enormously to its ascension, not just through his repeated annual appearances, but assembling a palette of anthems dedicated specifically for these magical nights.

From The New World to Digital Madness, and from The Spiritual Gateway to The Machine of Transformation, Markus' blend of tense buildups and euphoric bursts of emotion have bonded fans throughout eastern Europe - with Prague and Transmission acting as the calling epicenter.

And for 2014, he is back on anthem duty yet again, with the devilishly titled Seven Sins.

Much like its predecessors, Seven Sins embodies the hallmarks of an event-defining track; one built for emission throughout a venue as spacious as the O2 Arena, and a moment guaranteed to resonate beyond the Transmission faithful to the SchulzArmy worldwide.

With the famed lasers and light shows painting the picture, the temptation for Seven Sins is infectious; and further blossoms Markus Schulz's beautiful Transmission tale.

Dimitri Kechagias review: Markus Schulz is one of the biggest supporters of the massive Transmission events and he always perform in them with fantastic success. This year the theme was Seven Sins and his track with the same title is absolutely anthemic to the maximum. Powerful energetic pumping big room trance at its very best with that dark moody haunting distinctive sound that has been established by Markus. The breakdown is long with cinematic strings and very classic style synthy hook that is revealed in full effect and is supported by rich layers of additional synthy plucks along with heavy drums and aggressive kicks that build the tension for the full on hands in the air climax that is packed with rough monstrous basslines, epic rave style stynthy hooks and classic trance melodies along with orchestral influenced strings creating the impression that you listen to a piece of art from the era of classical music. This is what I call a Festival Anthem, #PureGold Love it
