Dimitri: Can you mention your biggest achievements in your music career in 2014 as dj & producer,label owner,radio host and your personal life if it is something that you wish to share with our readers?
Daniel Skyver: 2014 has been amazing for me in terms of success within the trance scene and I really feel I’ve kicked on this year and intend to kick on again in 2015. From being at ASOT 650 in February when Jordan Suckley played Touching The Sky & Tantrum to thousands of people back in February to here in December and Armin Van Buuren playing Chris Metcalfe’s remix of my new track Panic Stations on ASOT 692.
Dimitri: 2014 was packed with releases from so many different styles, which Electronic Music style you believe is the absolute Electronic Music Style Of 2014 in the mainstream indifferent if you like it or not. Why you believe this style became so successful in 2014?
Daniel Skyver: To be honest all I really focus on is what I’m doing and the music that I love. I’m not really bothered about what other people do or what’s popular and what’s not. I mean I listen to house & techno etc but as for what’s been the most successful style or why I couldn’t really tell you. All I know is it’s been an amazing year for trance music and that’s the main thing.

Daniel Skyver: Oh my god it has to be the guy Djing at some hardcore party or whatever it is who is standing there all still, hood up being well cool then rips off his jacket when the tune kicks in and starts doing a hilarious dance. There’s a guy carrying something behind him who falls over as well. One of the funniest videos ever. You must know the one I’m talking about??

Daniel Skyver: I get a million messages a day on Facebook……ok maybe not quite that many but I can’t say there’s been any memorable ones.

Daniel Skyver: I became a bit of a DJ whore backstage at Luminosity this year where many a selfie took place haha!

Daniel Skyver: I got into using Spire this year which is bloody lovely and has taken over from Sylenth as the go to synth.
26) Best tip that you learnt this year for your Djing techniques or music composition:
Daniel Skyver: Always be sure to press the “make bigger/brighter/fatter/more awesome” button
27) Best piece of advice you got in relation to your career in 2014: Take your time with your tunes!
Daniel Skyver: Rome wasn’t built in a day you know!
28) Best hobby or activity that you spent a lot of time in 2014:
Daniel Skyver: Music and football take up the vast majority of my spare time.
29) Best holiday destination for 2014 that you manage to visit this year either to relax or to perform in a club or festival:
Daniel Skyver: Holland is always amazing for a good relaxing party haha!

Daniel Skyver: Book? What is this??
31) Best Movie of the year preferably related to Electronic Music that may inspire you to compose a track:
Daniel Skyver: The Wolf of Wall Street has been my favourite movie this year. It didn’t inspire me to make tunes, it just made me what to go and get hammered
32) Best online/PC/video game of the year that you have played this year?
Daniel Skyver: FIFA ’15.

Daniel Skyver: That trance had a great year and is going to have a great 2015!
Dimitri: Finally, 2015 is ahead of us would you like to tell your plans with your future releases, tracks, albums, collaborations, Dj gigs.
Daniel Skyver: 2015 is shaping up to be my most exciting year yet but I’m not allowed to say most of it yet! I can say that I’m playing at Luminosity Trance Gathering in Amsterdam in February which I’m really excited about. Releases wise I have a remix waiting to come out on Scott Bond’s Rebooted label, I have a remix of a massive tune that recently got into the Beatport top 10 coming out exclusively on a compilation, I have collaborations with UDM & Lee Osborne coming out and I also have a big uplifter with the vocals of Cat Martin on the way.
