REVIEW: Joseph Areas - Beluga out on AVA recordings

1. Original Mix

AVA’s 93rd release comes from Miami’s Joseph Areas. Having already stamped his mark with remixes of Andy Moor’s “Fade To Light” as well as Andy’s collaboration with Lange, Joseph makes a single appearance on AVA with a progressive hard hitter entitled ‘Beluga’. Twisting together bass stabs alongside big open chords and a cheeky square lead, ‘Beluga’ is a nice break from overly aggressive music without losing it’s club appeal.

Dimitri Kechagias review: AVA recordings even after 93 releases is still in the cutting edge delivering progressive trance music with attitude, uniqueness and personality. The superb artist Joseph Areas is making constantly waves with his exceptional productions that are so well timed and arranged that the clubfloor totally surrenders to them and to any of the magic tricks he does in his studio. Beluga is an exceptional piece of modern neo trance that combines elements of aggressive harsh basslines with pounding meaty groove and superb melodic themes that can travel your mind to many places but at the same time you can sweat and shake your booty with them on the dancefloor too. Beluga has that Ibiza feeling to it with ethereal vocal samples, colourful positive synths, emotional piano touches while underneath a whole battle is going on electro, tribal and even dubstep and progressive house infusions. Energetic, intelligent, refreshing and of course could only be released on Andy Moor's essential trance label AVA recordings. #PureGold Love It
