REVIEW: Syke' n 'Sugarstarr ft. Alexandra Prince - Are You Watching Me out on Do The Hip records

'Are You Watching Me, Watching You' - a phrase that's part of the global music-history, based on the Shakatak Classic from the mid 80s. An anthem that was originally written and performed by the british jazz-funk combo and was making big waves in that era.

25 years later, in the year 2006, the German Housemusic-Duo Syke'n'Sugarstarr, along with the singer Alexandra Prince, re-released a modified cover-version of this song. By adding their own verses and intruments, and putting together the best from both worlds, something new were born that was straightly supported by nearly all the big DJ names in the biz.

Now, another 8 years later, a new remix-pack crosses our way, that is an interpretation of this classic in just another modern and upfront style - DeepHouse is the word.

Polish heros Bartes & Kubala as well as the wellknown russian DJs Max Lyazgin Tom Rain lay hands on and provided something in a fresh NuDisco direction that will once make waves. Watch out!

Dimitri Kechagias review: The stunning classic by Syke'n'Sugarstarr featuring the stunning singer Alexandra Prince called Are You Watching Me is back with brand new deep house mixes perfectly in tune with the sound that seems to rock the world at the moment. First of all Bartes & Kubala service an excellent rework with chunky grooves, deep funky basslines and old school influences while in the breakdown great rock guitar riff is applied with great result. Playful with summery relaxing feel and futuristic approach is definitely without doubts a winner. Max Lyazgin and Tom Rain deliver an excellent nu disco version with wonky basslines, pumping grooves, distorted vocal samples and funky sample riffs to blow the speakers while in the breakdown the darker strings add certain sleaziness and dirtiness to the final explosive danceable result! Excellent remixes not to be missed. #PureGold Love IT
