1. Ripasso (Original Mix)
2. Carioca (Original Mix)
3. This Traktor (Original Mix)
Orjan Nilsen is at it again, and he’s concocted 3 new songs: 'Carioca’, ‘Ripasso', and 'This Traktor'.
Poking fun at the tools of the trade, The Drop E.P. is certainly no joke sonically.
Hard and furious, these three tunes are loaded with intensity, big crossover themes, and plenty of punch.
Dimitri Kechagias review: If there is one producer who has put his stamp in the brand new era of electronic dance music is of course the Norwegian Orjan Nilsen. This hugely talented artist never stops to amaze the crowd and deliver tunes that simply can not be played just once like many other ephemeral tunes. Orjan Nilsen provides the masses with future classics and his The Drop E.P contains three fantastic tracks that will stand out from the rest and become absolute favourites instantly because of the freshness of the ideas even if they sound on what is currently played in the mainstage dj sets. First of all is the aggressive and totally unstoppable Ripasso. It starts in truly ferocious style and soon reaches the intro breakdown that the euphoric synthy theme is introduced and will be hard to resist the energy taking over your body. When the manic drop comes nothing will remain the same. The second breakdown is even more addictive with the main melody played by electronic style synth that will stuck in your head and then the drop is full on hands in the air with the uplifting rave style synthy hook driving the crowd wild and free. Carioca as the title suggests is much more exotic big room sounding track with progressive, electro and trance influences. The breakdown is playful and surprising with swirling drunk synthy hook while the drop combines claps with percussive animal style melody with heavy drums and in your face basslines. The main breakdown develops even further the main theme by adding symphonic classical music influences themes with ferocious build up that leads the track to its very rhythmic and extremely addictive final drop. Lastly This Tractor is full on mainstage material with aggressive heavy sharp bassline, banging fat drums, and of course fantastic main epic hands in the air theme in the breakdown that will bring hysteria in any club that will be played while the drop is the focus point as Orjan proves that he is one of the most able Drop producers with very detailed composition that merges wide variety of samples in order to come up with his own unique style! From Armin to Hardwell, Orjan tracks crossover to variety of dj sets with ease. Don't miss Orjan Nilsen at Armada Music night during ADE! #PureDropPower Love it
