REVIEW: Drew Hill - Talk To You (incl Groove Armada Remix) out on Danse Club Records / Armada

Michelle Drew & Philipp Hill AKA Drew Hill unleash their first release on Danse Club Records, the outstanding ‘Talk To You’ with stand out remixes by Groove Armada and label owners, Brodanse.

The release kicks off with the original version of ‘Talk To You’.

A deep, spacious vocal house track. Driven by the purest of vocals, deep chords and essential perc hits.

Next on the A side is the Brodanse Remix of ‘Talk To You’.

A deep driving tech groover which takes elements from the original and drives them onto a darker, harder level.

Last but by no means least, Groove Armada’s Remix. An epic, emotive piano chord led interpretation of the original mix which is a sure classic!

Dimitri Kechagias review: It's official that house music is back. The deep house phenomenon had as a side effect to inspire many young producers to return back to the roots and produce music with soul, substance, strong grooves, hypnotic atmosphere, soulful vocals away from the thunderous bone braking drops. Danse Club records reach their 14th release with the huge Drew Hill anthem Talk To You. The track already has been named as Essential New Tune from the one and only BBC Radio 1 ambassador Pete Tong and there is a very strong buzz in the digital world about it and it is not matter of hype. It's the truth that this great track will bring goosebumps and give back some of the darkness and essential naughtiness of funky house music. The original mix is deep hypnotic affair that slowly builds up its groove and rhythm with chopped soulful vocals and distorted synthy melodies. The track is atmospheric and mysterious with infectious groove that instantly absorbs you in it and doesn't let you go if you don't shake and twist your body around with it. The most celebrated remix comes from Groove Armada who once again prove why they have such a prominent position in the scene. It starts with cool vocals and suddenly the feel good 90's piano hooks appear to drive the track to its enjoyable happy and smiling ride. It lasts for more than eight minutes and the futuristic soundsphere includes dark synths, haunting strings, euphoric piano chords and sing a long vocal samples. It can become success on mainstream top 40 radio stations without doubts. The label owners Brodanse close the package in style as they deliver stunning old school techno kick, pounding deep bassline and old school sounds. The chopped vocal parts once again make the difference and you can easily imagine the crowd memorising them and singing them back to their dj. Quality deepness with soul and imagination for the love of house only! #PureGold Love it
