ADE 2014: ADE Playground Gear is the part of ADE that appeals to the gear freaks

ADE Playground Gear is the part of ADE that appeals to the gear freaks and technuts out there. The world’s leading artists, along with the newest and most innovative gear, will be present in a series of music panels and technology master-classes. 
  
Native Instruments, Pioneer, Ableton and leading UK audio equipment manufacturer, Focusrite Novation, have already confirmed at time of writing to showcase their latest gear, with various other music developers and manufacturers ready to sign up. Along with showcasing their latest products, the tech firms will be providing a series of technology master-classes.

Ableton will present daily Ableton Push and Live 9 workshops, artist talks and performances, master classes and more in the CompagnieTheater. In addition they will host special artist sessions on the 4DSound system located in the same building. Next to the gear-workshops and hands-on Push stations visitors to the Ableton Playground Gear space will have a chance to meet other Live users, product specialists and Ableton Certified Trainers.

Two of the city’s central locations, De Brakke Grond and the CompagnieTheater, will offer unique and new experiences to this year’s ADE Playground Gear attendees. The historical venues, located within a few minutes walk of each other, present themselves with showcase halls and presentation theatres. These new spaces will allow DJs and producers to roadtest gear, while engaging in high-brow discourse about their productions and career.

ADE Playground can be found anywhere and everywhere in the city centre during ADE. It is a unique, dance-related lifestyle program offering five days of gear, art, film, food and pop-up. ADE Playground will feature a wide series of MusicTalks in De Brakke Grond, for which legendary Hollywood filmscore composer Hans Zimmer (DE), DJ and singer Boy George (GB) and video-game composer and producer, Junkie XL (NL) are already confirmed.
