English duo Jorg Gradwohl and Neal McCluskie have made quite an impact since their Coldharbour Recordings debut almost 12 months ago. Along with their beautiful remix of Markus Schulz's single Blown Away, and remixes of their Revolution collaboration with Markus racking up plenty of plays, they are back with a new original, teaming up with one of the most in demand vocalists in the dance scene, Jonathan Mendelsohn.
The original is a feel good singalong jam for those long summer nights, and is complimented with no less than three remixes. Mr. Pit takes the tech-fused emotional route, Purple Stories ramp up the big room aggression, and Tomas Heredia sprinkles his signature trance vibes.
Earthquake demonstrates that this talented outfit continue to go from strength to strength, along with their DJ exploits. You can catch them alongside Markus Schulz at Amnesia in Ibiza this summer.
Dimitri Kechagias review: Coldharbour recordings presents one of the hottest and most upcoming duos in trance music. The beloved Venom One who are performing currently on the biggest summer festivals including Nature One where I had the chance to have an interview with them that will be online soon. Venom One collaborate with the fantastic singer Jonathan Mendelsohn for the explosive anthem Earthquake. The release is so good and important that is supported by 3 additional remixes to become perfect for wide spectrum of trance djs. First of all the Club Mix is a powerful hybrid of housey grooves, electro inspired pulsating basslines and fantastic piano chords. The breakdown is atmospheric with great cinematic strings, piano melodic and anthemic euphoric synths supported underneath with break beats sequence. The drop is euphoric and hands in the air with the high quality melody leading the proceedings to the absolute climax to elevate you from the ground. Tomas Heredia on the other side delivers his more melodic dream trance progressive version with electric guitar riffs in the breakdown in order to compose an explosive rocking climax with massive rave style synthy lead upon the pounding kick and the powerful energetic basslines. Mr Pit is going the classic Coldharbour recordings direction and service the darker sinister moody alternative version that applies in the finest possible way the spiritual vocals along with dark foundation and his epic synths that drive the track to its mouthwatering hands in the air climax that actually sounds like being in the turmoil of an earthquake. If you search for the ultimate big room meets tech trance version don't miss Purple Stories remix that is extremely rough, aggressive, in your face with hardstyle drop that will make the crowd and ground shake on the rhythm and tone of this cranking remix! #PureGold Love it
