REVIEW: Oliver Smith - Evermore incl Wrechiski remix out on Anjunabeats

Keeping up his impressive streak of featuring on every Anjunabeats Volume compilation, Oliver Smith's contribution to the 11th instalment is everything you'd expect from the consummate pro; a subtle melodic journey that instantly sticks in your head - courtesy of “Evermore”.

Having taken a deeper direction with his Meramek project over the last 12 months, "Evermore" is a reminder of Ollie’s ability to make ear grabbing big room anthems. Debuted by Above & Beyond at last year’s Group Therapy 050 celebrations, it has become one of the most hotly anticipated records of recent months. Its simplicity is its beauty; echoing top lines and free falling plucky riffs create a dreamy atmosphere that punches through the dance floor with a rousing release.

Providing a more synth heavy, electro infused alternative is new comer to the label Felipe Wrechiski. A frequent flyer on Above & Beyond's Group Therapy radio show, the Brazil native’s interpretation enriches the melody’s playful nature, a succession of colourful arps and offbeat sounds drawing you deeper into the ever intensifying landscape.

Dimitri Kechagias review: Anjunabeats, the beloved high quality label of Above and Beyond presents the long awaited return of the "Mr fantastic melodies composerOliver Smith. His latest track is called Evenmore and is already getting very positive comments from Oliver's global fanbase. It's great hybrid of melodic proglifting trance and progressive house making it suitable for both camps and definitely perfect for Above & Beyond mainstage performances on top festivals such as Tomorrowland in Belgium. Superb groovy freaked out bassline combined with brooding chunky groove and cool little snippets of the big synthy hook that will be revealed in full on the breakdown. Fantastic dreamy blissful soundscapes with cool synthy plucks and very strong infectious euphoric synthy hook that will blow your mind and expand your consciousness. The climax is full on hands in the air with the brilliant optimistic positive feel good and warm synthy stabs taking the first role and offering unforgettable eargasmic moments for trance fans worldwide. The final breakdown is equally luscious and glittering followed by the final concluding sequence. One of my favourite producers at the moment, the very charismatic and super sugar sweet Wrechiski from Brazil adds his Latin temperament on it and transforms it into an upfront hybrid of prog house and big room trance that literally can drive the crowd totally and utterly out of their heads. It starts with crunchy punchy groove, freaked out bassline that merges filtered disco house with progressive and hints of the cool synthy melody. The breakdown comes in quite early  and it starts in truly ambient chill out style but soon the various synthy plucks are introduced  with cool breakbeat sequence underneath. The climax  comes after a point of  filtered disco house  and fat drum rolls. Euphoric synths will elevate your audience to a higher level and I can imagine some human bodies jumping so high that can even touch the sky! When you dance with tracks like this one you feel that everything and anything is possible and there are no limits in your imagination. #PureGold Love it
