REVIEW: Markus Schulz - Scream 2: Collected Remixes Part 1 out on Coldharbour recordings

As the chapter of Markus Schulz's Amnesia residency in Ibiza begins this summer, another begins to reach its crescendo. Registering two albums and no less than 40 tracks, Markus' Scream story has resonated deeply with followers worldwide.

Now, to compliment the hectic summer plethora of festivals and Balearic region trips, the Scream ingredients are showcased in remix form, through special singles and bundle packages.

For package one, vocal smash Revolution takes primary focus, with three versions on offer. The on-form Mike Shiver presenting a tough clubby alternative and Daniel Creed's radio-friendly vibes; both complimenting Markus' own starring Remember the Revolution Mix, which has been a highlight in his festival appearances all year long. Also from Scream 2 is Muse, with Polish duo Purple Stories continuing their crusade of dance floor destruction through an unforgiving tech-fused session.

From the first Scream album, two tracks are represented here, both in remixes that will touch the euphoric and melodic-laden admirers. The talented duo of Solis & Sean Truby personally stated their desire to remix Carry On, and they did not disappoint. And for the endlessly-working Harry Square, his take on Love Rain Down is sure to be an emotional highlight on any occasion.

Dimitri Kechagias review: Markus Schulz is considered as one of the most influential trance djs, producer and label owner. His sound has inspired thousands of young producers to follow his path and compose dark moody but most importantly powerful trance tracks. His albums Scream 1 & 2 are part of the digital collection of many trance fans around the globe. Now Coldharbour recordings presents the fantastic selected remixes on various Scream album jewels. The vol. 1 includes 5 magnificent new versions that will make you fell in love with them even more. First of Markus Schulz & Venom One featuring Chris Madin hit record Revolution appears in 3 top versions. First of all Sweden's finest Mike Shiver who really deserves wider recognition service his Swedish progressive house makeover with great piano melody in the breakdown that supports Chris dynamic percussion that is so inspiring that will be hard to resist and not start to dance a long. The huge euphoric synthy riffs will raise excitment and drive the crowd tottaly insane. His drop is rougher, harder, tougher with percussion melody and full on in your face atmosphere. Daniel Creed Remix adds his very personal more emotional take on the very strong piano melody followed by warped synthy hook that lead the track to the massive full on hands in the air section that is very euphoric, colourful and absolutely radio friendly anthem as well. Remember The Revolution Remix by Markus himself is big room melodic proglifting trance at its very best tailor made for mainstage performances. Super strong version that will become easily your crowd favourite anthem with its massive anthemic euphoric synths in the climax that will explode out of proportion and catapult your dancefloor.  The top track Muse by Markus Schulz featuring Adina Butar is reworked perfectly by Purple Stories from Poland who service the big room meets tech trance version that starts really tough, bouncy and aggressive. The breakdown reveals the hair raising performance by Adina Butar and is the perfect time to raise those hands in the air and sing a long. The euphoric synthy lead will raise excitement and blow the speakers. The climax is rough, smashing and totally outstanding so you can be rest assured that the dancefloor will erupt without doubts. Harry Square is a name that seems to get big recognition with high class releases. His remix on  Love Rain Down featuring Seri manage to balance the more euphoric commercial friendly vibes of the original with his well known dark, moody, tech trance sound that is very influenced from Markus Schulz productions. Harry Square reimagines the original into an emotional roller coaster that will be hard to stand still when Markus will play it at his 8 hours set at Tomorrowland. Markus Schulz collaboration with the beloved Jaren who shines with her inspirational performance. Her voice sounds amazingly sensitive and embodies all the complexities of today's human relationships. Carry On is remixed perfectly by Solis & Sean Truby who deliver their hi-nrg melodic progressive trance version with sunny sunkissed synths and old school piano melody. Their climax is full on and hands in the air packed with euphoric synthy melodies and feel good positive optimistic vibes that help you to Carry On against all odds. Highly recommended remixes to make us Scream and shout really LOUD! #PureGold Love iT
