Time Square is a new project that was created from an idea of Time Records Department. A project that is intended to spread the power of good music everywhere with new mixes and productions.
The Australian artist Xavier Rudd was born in 1978 in Torquay (Victoria) and attended St. Joseph's College in Geelong. He is a songwriter, a versatile musician who has mastered 16 instruments, activist and surfer.
With its debut in 2002, began a journey that is both literally and figuratively made him one of the most iconic voices in Australia for Xavier Rudd. With each new album, the tour went on, like a river the way towards the ocean writhing - flowing and turning, running and falling - and to relentlessly fighting ahead.
Xavier Rudd combines uplifting music with thought-provoking themes and concepts. His music always gives one a good feeling. With a number of guitars, didgeridoos, stomp boxes and percussion instruments Xavier Rudd reintroduced sounds and stories of Aboriginal and represents the rest of the world a whole new sound to the front. His ability to weave together different genres into one another, has evolved from an indefinable mix of blues, reggae, folk and indigenous music became his trademark.
Over a period of ten years Xavier took this sound to travel and so filled every corner of the globe by producing six studio albums, two live albums recorded, several ARIA nominations and a worldwide fan base of like-minded built. Xavier traveled and still travels a lot, and the more he traveled in the past few years, the more was redefined his music and characterized by new influences. People felt to what Xavier had to tell them and strongly linked to its meaning.
Shaped by its history, but still breaking new paths, Xavier Rudd has reached its creative peak with "Follow The Sun" by once again stunning images with its vibrant, distinctive sounds paints mesmerizing, ceremonial rhythms merge effortlessly into tender folk songs. Courageous Guitar Blues lined up perfectly next to Yidaki passages. Rudd's voice and that of his ancestors bring forth truth and knowledge.
"Follow The Sun" hits thanks to its wonderful melody and the emotional charge of the song lyrics from the beginning right to the heart. It's a song that everyone to invite you to leave its burdens and cares behind, to look into the future and build real and direct contact with nature, to let the problems of everyday life behind. Time Records has assigned the production of the versions of "Follow The Sun" to Western Disco, whose single "The Sun" has been licensed from Time to Island/Universal for a summer 2014 release, to legendary Black Box, the Italian team that conquered the worldwide charts between the 80s and the 90s, and to Daniele Petronelli, one of the most interesting Italian producers of the year.
Tomorrow is a new day for everyone, Brand new moon, brand new sun.
