He collaborates with the beloved singer Sarah Howells who add with her vocals the shinning glow on any track she takes part. Dissolve is an interesting mixture of neo psy trance with tech and uplifting vocal trance in one explosive package that will definitely expose psy trance to more club oriented trance followers and many uplifting trance fans to appreciate psy trance. The truth is that this two substyles of trance were always separate and if you were playing in your dj set psy trance it was unthinkable to play big room or uplifting club trance. Simon Patterson has definitely an important mission to accomplish and that is to bridge the differences and unite those two trance subgenres camps. Sarah Howells has that indie rock dynamic voice that sounds really good upon the psy trance kick and sharp bassline. After very interesting playful choices in arrangement moves from the uplifting vocal to the psy trance sequence once again. He returns though to full on uplifting trance style in his breakdown that is absolutely magical with nice melodramatic piano, epic strings, classical music themes and blissful atmosphere. He continues with his short hands in the air uplifting sequence and very soon lands on another breakdown that he allows the huge euphoric synthy to come at the forefront and blow some speakers and bring tones of enjoyment to the trance goers. He twists again the proceedings and rather than moving to another uplifting sequence he goes full on psy trance!
