REVIEW: Rhys Reynolds - The Met out on Go On Air / Black Hole recordings

1. Original Mix

For already the sixth release on GO On Air Recordings, Giuseppe Ottaviani has flown in Rhys Reynolds. ‘The Met’ is an original trancer, with a rich uplifting sound and a driving rhythm that is perfect for the dance floors.

Rhys Reynolds is the alias of Marc Walsh from Walsh & McAuley, real name Mark Reynolds. He and other half of the duo Ciaran have always been influenced by different DJ’s and producers, which has led to solo productions on labels such as Black Hole Recordings and Armada for both. With Walsh & McAuley Mark definitely has made a lot of flying hours in the music industry already, releasing chart topping tracks on some of the biggest labels around, being featured on great compilations, remixing for some of the most well-known names in the industry and spinning the decks around the world. With all this experience and a talent for producing great tunes, we can definitely expect more to come from Rhys Reynolds.

Dimitri Kechagias review: Go On Air is the exceptional home base of the Italian Maestro Giuseppe Ottaviani who will very soon release his Live version of his album Magenta. The brand new anthem comes from the hands of Rhys Reynolds who delivers the full on big room progressive trance smasher The Met. Superb solid composition with chunky grooves, fat throbbing punchy bassline that sound very fat with big depth and noisy on loud soundsystems. Its the kind of track that starts really large from the very beginning and teasing you for what comes next. The first breakdown is the moment of the big revelation. The huge synthy lead that sounds epic and euphoric to the maximum comes to energise the proceedings and nicely lead us on the first euphoric colourful and perfect to jump up along drop. The 2nd breakdown is used to reintroduce the the fat and meaty full on sequence we heard in the first part that is more aggressive and vibrates your body from head to toe. The next breakdown is a bit shorter and we welcome for the last time the euphoric hands in the air part to finish off with the best taste in our mouth and open our hunger for more of the same! The Met is superb big room cracker with a mission to make you dance! #PureGold Love iT
