REVIEW: John Askew - Plush out soon on Perfecto Fluoro

1-Plush(Original mix)

Press release: John is a massive satchel. I have the misfortune of sharing an office with him. He keeps insisting that Perfecto Fluoro is a Goa trance label that doesn’t release 140 but guess what?

When my back is turned he goes and sneaks a 140 track into the schedule. Honestly – I have never met a more hypocritical bell end in all my life.

Still, if John’s style of music floats your boat and you enjoyed his recent productions (Commander Tom “Are am Eye” remix, JOC “Stresstest” remix, Empirion “Narcotic Influence” remix or his single “Shine” etc etc) then I guess you may like this one.

When I asked John to describe the sound of this record he said “it sounds the same as all my other s*** but this time it has the added bonus of people having sex all the way through it”.

In true egotistical style there are no remixes.

Dimitri Kechagias review: John Askew is considered to be one of those figures that played a very important role in the development of what we call UK trance sound. As producer, dj, label manager at Perfecto records, John Askew is always at the forefront supporting the scene to grow by remaining true to his ideals and beliefs without selling out. John Askew was, is and will always be an underground baron in the trance community. His latest track on Perfecto Fluoro is going definitely to rock the trance tents at the big summer festivals. Its called Plush and is exactly what you expect to get from this super talented artist. Underground dark tech trance meets uplifting with some Psy Goa elements in it as well.  Plush is a powerful hard trancer with super solid tough kick, pulsating vibrating driving sharp as knife bassline and on top various hi-nrg synthy layers plus some female and male moaning vocal samples that we assume should be from listeners who use their trance music as soundtrack in their bedtime adventures. The breakdown is absolutely mouthwatering sonic experience with beautiful melodies, great synthy plucks and even dreamy singing vocals combined with moaning and other spoken vocal samples that create an eargasmic sonic soundscape to say the least. The climax is straight forward pumping pounding energetic hard trancer of the highest quality with added dreamy synthy layers here and there keeping it solid and rough to the bone. Excellently balanced banger that is going to rock the dancefloors and summer festivals! Make Love Not WAR! Lets give peace a chance! #PureGold Love IT
