REVIEW: Groove Armada, Brodanse feat. Kevin Knapp - Advancing Man out on Danse Club Records/ Armada

With early support from Dusky, Tom Budden, Lauhaus and Severino 'The Advancing Man' follows on from the 2013 hit ‘Sweat feat. Cari Golden’ (which topped the Beatport charts and was played on Radio 1 by Pete Tong).

For ‘Part 2’ in the collaboration series between Groove Armada and Brodanse the two duos come together once again but this time they work alongside Kevin Knapp who many will know from his slick productions with Audiojack, Richie Ahmed and Matt Tolfrey.

The EP contains 3 different versions. The Original, a steady thumper with a bad to the bone bass line. The Danse Club Remix, a hypnotic groove led dance floor killer and GA's Advancing Dub’ a stripped back groove and sparse vocal stabs and a big break down.

Dimitri Kechagias review: The top record label Danse Club records that was established back in 2012 by the brothers Brodanse continues to impress with high class deep house / tech house London style tracks. The latest that comes out this week and got already huge support from prolific djs in the scene  is Brodanse collaboration with Groove Armada featuring Kevin Knapp from Berlin that is called Advancing Man  and comes in 3 superbly cooked and served flavours. The Original mix is an excellent infectious deep house anthem with deep funky basslines, chunky minimal grooves and excellent spoken vocal sample that recalls the classic vocals used in unforgettable house jewels from the past. Superb arrangement that manage to make you dance and shake it with closed eyes and wide open ears as this track is an experience not to be missed. Eclectic atmospheric sound that quickly infects you and you feel obliged to react to it either by nodding your head, tapping your feet or dancing freely on the dancefloor.  Second is the Danse Club Remix that is an exceptional version that moves within the bass pumping deephouse sound with hypnotic synthy leads, snappy vocal chops and a totally new singing vocal sample in the breakdown with the full spoken vocal sample used only in the intro. If you search for real pure house music don't go more further than this addictive and highly infectious gem that recall in a way the Green Velvet sound amongst others. Lastly the Advancing dub mix is an interesting more techno less house version with minimal chunky groove, cool percussion and vocal snippets that really work to create a very moody dark, experimental and quite freaked out result perfect for those darker late night moments that heads are down and the crowd totally Lost in Music and 100% dedicated to what they hear. #PureGold Ibiza Anthem Guaranteed.
