Dimitri Kechagias review: The exceptional USA born and Switzerland based dj, producer, radio host and label owner Sean Tyas strikes back on Black Hole recordings with his exceptional new single Ascend.When music sounds too ephemeral, quickly consumed and easily thrown way, Sean Tyas comes in to service fantastic trance creations that will pass easily the test of time and will be played very often in the coming years as well. Ascend stands out because it has a clear goal in its construction. It doesn't try to be many things in one single track and then lost the plot. Sean Tyas has in his mind what he wants to achieve and he manages very successfully to reach this goal.He stays faithful to the straight forward trance arrangement with lower bpm than 138 making it perfect for the middle section between big room and uplifting trance tracks.The foundation is quite complex and rich with great kicks, pulsating driving basslines and noteworthy percussion elements. Upon this very tough and solid impetus he adds the very strong euphoric rave style distorted epic synthy lead that appears for a while during the first sequence and is revealed in full within the breakdown. Here Sean does his best to absorb his listeners to his dreamworld with beautiful piano melody, airy pads, synthy plucks and cinematic atmosphere. The massive synthy riff appears and you can easily guess the thunder storming consequences.
