REVIEW: Maria Healy - Atlantis Calling incl. The Noble Six remix out on Subculture

Acclaimed as the Best uplifting female trance DJ of 2014, Maria Healy brings us her debut single on Subculture. "Atlantis Calling" is a surefire Ibiza tune, full of beautiful subtle melodies before the giant Amnesia styled breakdown which builds up into a megatron worthy climax. The Noble Six, tipped by John O'Callaghan as a name to watch has turned in a remix which proves why many people are excited about his tunes. Full of raw power mixed with a large helping of euphoria, this guy knows his trance. 2 solid mixes, take your pick!

Dimitri Kechagias review: John O Callaghan is not only an exceptional dj that moves big crowds worldwide but he is great A&R for his record label Subculture. He is always right on the spot and finds fantastic tracks from established and brand new talents that he supports them to grow and expand their careers. The latest Subculture beatport trance top 100 hit (currently at number 27) comes from the hands of the superstar female dj Maria Healy with the magnificent track Atlantis Calling that is supported by additional remix from the Canadian upcoming talent The Noble Six. The original is a clean cut 140 BPM uplifting euphoric trancer with techy groove that bangs, energetic throbbing basslines, acid overtones on top to keep it raw and underground while on top she adds some chord progression and uplifting euphoric synths that build the tension. Also cool male spoken vocal samples are included to enhance the cinematic atmosphere that is further expanded in the breakdown when Maria reveals the full on hair raising and very energising synthy leads that will uplift your spirit without second thoughts. Powerful and pumping to the core the climax comes thick and fast after the fantastic drum rolls. Straight to the point, hands in the air and euphoric to the maximum is pure uplifting trance magic at its very best and highest quality. The last breakdown is used to introduce the final section that is harder and aggressive. The Noble Six is offering his remixing services and he does what he knows best once again as he continues on 140 BPM as well but he adopts even tougher and harder grooves, full on energetic basslines and he spiced it up with heavy application of acid riffs. His breakdown is really cinematic and spacey supported by melancholic piano chords, airy pads and orchestral themes. His main synthy lead is quite different from Maria's and he adds cool break beat underneath before the coming of the full on euphoric climax that will satisfy any melodic pure uplifting trance lovers that don't mind some tech trance/acid trance infusions as well. Subculture at its very best, on the label that constantly put its stamp in the development of the trance subculture. #PureGold  Love it
