When a producer of the calibre of Nick Callaghan approaches you, personally requesting to remix one of the Monster Tunes back catalogue productions, the only answer is of course yes!
The Orginal Mix of ‘Tabriz’ was released way back in 2006 and was part of the ‘Monster Sampler Series, Volume 9’ three track EP. With many tech / psy tinged trance tracks featuring middle-eastern influenced melodies floating about, we felt now was the perfect time to once again unleash a bomb of this magnitude onto the scene!
Beefed up to the max, Nick’s expertly crafted interpretation feels like the original version on a dose of steroids. Pumped up percussion goes toe to toe with a pulsating bassline groove, which pounds along nicely. FX chops a plenty ramp up the energy, whilst the mesmeric main hook will leave you in a hypnotic state for the duration!
‘Tabriz’ or not ‘Tabriz’? That is the Question!
Dimitri Kechagias review: Monster Force is the very successful sublabel of Monster Tunes and is considered to be one of the very top record labels in the trance scene for years now. The brand new release is an absolutely phenomenal production that will stand out on any uplifting trance/psy trance/hard trance set. The very talented and always consistent dj and producer Nick Callaghan put his magic healing hands on Kaveh Azizi exceptional production Tabriz. As we all expect Nick Callaghan doesn't disappoint and deliver the goods. Tough hard groove to punch in your face, driving super energetic travelling with the speed of light bassline and various dirty twisted effects here and there that keep the ear and the feet interested on the dancefloor! The breakdown is magnificent with cinematic atmosphere that draws you in easily with ethereal Goa inspired vocals, warm strings, airy pads followed by the explosion of huge euphoric synths that will energise and increase intensity. If you have any heart health issues problems better quit before the fantastic uplifting climax that is not recommended for the weak hearted. Full on banging, booming, earth shaking and body jumping climax that will put fire on any trancefloor and will give you a wide smile in your face. Nick masterfully melts into one various substyles of trance in order to come up with a trance bomb that will explode in various clubs and summer festivals! #PureGold Love it
