REVIEW: ReLocate vs Robert Nickson - Recognition out on Re*Brand / Armada Music

1. Recognition (Original Mix)

It’s not hard to gain ‘Recognition’ when you put out quality music time after time.  Re:Locate & Robert Nickson wear several different hats in this track, changing things up dramatically from section to section.

This song ranges from brute-force bass to subtle melodic vibrations, and everything in between.

The sum of the parts absolutely has what it takes to stand out on the dancefloor.  Perhaps that’s why this tune was chosen to be feature on both the ‘Armada Trance 2014’ compilation as well as on ‘Max Graham – Cycles 5’!

Dimitri Kechagias review: Re*Brand records is regarded as one of the finest and most prolific underground trance labels that includes in its rooster some star talents such as the label owner Max Graham, Protoculture who is about to  release his personal album on Armada Music and Solid Stone to name just a few. One of the jewels of Cycles 5 compilation,  that was released early 2014 and still is buzzing in the  trance scene, is of course the magnificent collaboration between the Dutch powerforces in trance ReLocate and  Robert Nickson. Both have many huge trance anthems under their belt and  great  respect worldwide. Now on Re*Brand records, they present their exceptional collaboration Recognition that targets the peak time moment of your prog trance/ big room trance dj set. It's one of those tunes that becomes easily the absolute highlight of the night and will raise your crowd to a higher level. Its full on production with tough rolling drums, percussion to die for that sounds super large on a nice clear and crispy sound system,  deep throbbing bodyshaking basslines, dark haunting strings that cast a spell on you, chopped breathing vocal samples and some hints of the main synthy melody that comes and goes. The breakdown is moody with mysterious cinematic effects that is interrupted for a while from the euphoric synthy leads that comes as the thunder on a rainy cold day. The climax is energising and euphoric to the maximum that will minimise boredom to the minimum and will satisfy even the most eclectic trance fan out there. Recognition sounds cosmopolitan, modern, futuristic and brings pictures in your mind from huge club events and open air festivals. Looking forward to hear it on Electronic Family 2014! Love iT
