REVIEW: Nick Callaghan - Here Today, Gone Tomorrow (Remixed) out on Monster Force

After going toe to toe on their last Monster outing, Nick Callaghan and Second Sine now return for more of the same, since both have been extremely busy with remixes and originals for none other than Bryan Kearney on his label Kearnage.

Second Sine’s clever remix is a stripped back, chunky, chuggy affair loaded with depth and weight. Doffing a cap to the ever popular psy-trance genre, this mix features skilfully arranged psy / tech FX cuts and a solid throbbing bass line groove, whilst the remix still keeps a foot firmly in the trance camp by incorporating the luscious main theme from Nick’s original production.

Tomorrow’s trance, today!

Dimitri Kechagias review: Monster Force is back with another powerstormer that has the energy and flow to keep you dancing in a state of total trance for hours. Here Today, Gone Tomorrow by Nick Callaghan is excellently remixed by Second Sine from Russia. The upcoming trance producer crafts his powerful version that will blow minds, speakers and create sure havoc on the trancefloor. It melts nicely into one explosive banger elements from neo psy trance with uplifting euphoric sounds that really make it very interesting and challenging as it manages to keep firm foot on the ground and  being pleasurable for both camps. Energetic driving basslines, techy groovy beats, chopped vocal samples, dark and deadly acid layers combined with chord progression that adds that Ibiza summer trance atmosphere to the track. While the foundation is identified as psy trance  the euphoric synths are kept to the maximum to mesmerise the uplifting trance followers. His breakdown is long and is based around the main synthy lead that slowly is revealed in its full entirety with heavy dramatic drops that create the explosive atmosphere on the dancefloor. Slowly the drum roll builds anticipation until to land on the euphoric hands in the air feel good uplifting climax. Flowing, floating, energetic, dark and grumpy on some moment, driving and futuristic are some of the words that describe best this brand new remix by Second Sine who is certainly a name to watch!
