Dimitri Kechagias review: Perfecto Fluoro was from the very beginning one of the most active in the support of the Psy/Goa trance sound that until then was strictly underground. The owner, the legend Paul Oakenfold is considered as one of the main figures that helped this scene to get exposure to the mainstream and of course he disseminated and promoted that sound all over the world with his frequent dj gigs on every corner of the globe. Perfecto Fluoro, for second time is one of the main prolific labels that support the rebirth of the Psy/Goa trance sound through a brand new prism. The neo-psy/Goa trance sound is heavily influenced from the uplifting trance sound that seems to be the most successful in the mainstream trance scene. Magnus from Seattle is a great example of a versatile producer who can deliver old school Goa Psy trance and melodic uplifting trance tracks as well. His latest EP coming soon on Perfecto Fluoro is entitled Render One and contains 4 absolutely fabulous trancers that will light up your dancefloor with Fluorescent color of course. First of all Render One is a brilliant energetic adrenaline charging trancer that moves within and realms of psy trance and uplifting trance as it adopt psy style kicks, driving punchy bassline while on top he adds his beautiful summery feel good melodies and heavenly female voices that appear in full length in his short relaxing breakdown. The track continues with full on and very melodic sequence perfect for Ibiza trance / Balearic trance sets as well that is followed from the more psy trance focused final sequence with distorted noises and weird moments. Second is Marine Groove that illustrates well the combination of psy trance with more melodic elements. Actually the title reflects the content as you feel very relaxed and energised at the same time. The melodies send your mind to summer holidays while the beat keeps you dancing and jumping with wide smile on the trancefloor! This is the sweetest track of the four included in the package. Third comes the very beautiful Satin. The title describes well the content. It falls within the same neo-Psy Goa trance sound as it adopts the foundation of psy trance but he sprinkles it with more feel good, positive and colourful melodies. His breakdown is really dreamy and mesmerising with plucky melodies, heavenly female voices and overall warm like Satin atmosphere that inspires the mind, body and soul. His climax is full on and straight to the point so you can expect the crowd totally lost it with closed eyes and hands in the air! Hypnotic, absorbing and thrilling sonic experience not to be missed. Lastly is Sinelock that lasts for nearly 9 minutes and is the more PsyGoa trance minded of the 4 tracks. Razorsharp basslines, punchy kicks, distorted acid layers running on the top while the melodies remain quite dark, sinister, distant and cold vibrating the classic Psytrance vibes all over the place!
