REVIEW: Jon Rundell - Cybernetics out on Intec Digital

Following on from their monumental 50th release with the legendary Carl Cox, Techno’s seminal imprint Intec is back on March 31st with another stunning EP release from the imprint’s co-leader Jon Rundell entitled ‘Cybernetics’.

This release consists of two peak-time Techno weapons designed to pack a real punch and ignite dancefloors from London to Tokyo.

The EP’s lead track ‘Cybernetics’ gets things underway and offers an abundance of suspense and tension that’s effortlessly created by the track’s addictive groove, pounding kick drum and intriguing morphing stab pattern.

Next up is ‘Raven’ which is more of a twisted and trippy affair that’s already garnered support from Techno pioneers such as Carl Cox and Dave Clarke. The track comprises of a relentless hypnotic filtered lead line, banging beats and intelligent layering that helps the track maintain its dark and eerie atmosphere throughout.

‘Cybernetics’ EP is a great addition to Intec’s musical arsenal and showcases the superb run of form that international DJ, producer and label boss Jon Rundell is currently in. The release is available on Beatport exclusively from March 31st and the rest of the world a few weeks later.

Dimitri Kechagias review: The superb techno producer Jon Rundel never stops to impress with his tough dark underground vibes that he only knows so well to radiate all over the place and win the admiration and respect of his peers. Techno is the most complex genre to produce and Jon Rundel manage to turn this difficulty to his advantage and he tells his stories in the most thrilling and adventurous way. Cybernetics is a powerful and extremely dynamic sledgehammer that bangs without mercy and will definitely keep the techno lovers hypnotised on th floor demanding more of the massive.  Cool synthy lead is introduced in the breakdown that will drive the track to the immense final sequence that nothing is certain and everything is possible. Raven continues within the same dark and dangerous environment with dark synthy lead that runs on the whole track and builds tension, anticipation and anxiety on the dancefloor. It includes a shorter and 2nd longer breakdown with the second being the more teasing and pleasing until to unleash the beat and the track reaches its breathtaking climax that will blow your socks off guaranteed. Intec Rocks and Jon doesn't seem willing to slow down the quality output! Love IT
