Harem is back for a massive spring release! Combining the forces of UK powerhouse producer/DJ Funkagenda and Harem head honchos Sultan + Ned Shepard, the cross-continental trio have created the massive progressive/tribal anthem "Astana". Originally premiered over two years ago as part of Funk Farm's Planet Funk Farm compilation, this trio of talented producers have gone back into the studio to give the song a reboot for the 2014 festival season, 3 and they do not disappoint. With massive tribal drums and a hauntingly beautiful melody, this tune is one to watch! Early support from Fedde Le Grand, Tiesto, Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano and more!
Dimitri Kechagias review: It's time to get ready for something extraordinary that deserves to get many plays on your Mainstage performances this summer. Harem records presents the legendary Funkagenda vs the heroes and label owners Sultan & Ned Shepard who present their high class bouncer Astana on the Mainstage Mix that is very short around 4 minutes of prime time pleasure but actually sounds that lasts for longer. Power banging drums, aggressive basslines lead us nicely on the breakdown that the electro infused synthy lead is revealed and comes at the forefront to cause mayhem and build the excitement and give happiness and pleasure. The drop is straight forward tribal house without excessive application of other synthy layers. The drums actually perform that hot Latin rhythm that you can not resist and you want simply to dance. In that way remains really unique and has definitely a point to make in your set. Love IT
