Our 4th release is a highlight from Solarstone’s ‘Pure Trance 2’ compilation, which combines a mesmeric choral and pad driven breakdown with pin-sharp synth riffs and a sophisticated arrangement, which delivers in spades on the dancefloor.
First up on the remix tip is Bucharest’s Almar, fresh from remixing Solarstone’s classic ‘Seven Cities’ for Armada and his own ‘Evening Star’ release on Touchstone Recordings, Almar takes ‘Seldarine’ down a warm and fuzzy eyes-closed trance remix with the pure spirit intact.
Adding something deeper to this package is Empress Recordings head honcho Danny Stubbs, with a remix which references those classic Northern Exposure releases from yesteryear with its hypnotic groove and bassline. Three strong mixes that cater to DJs from across the Pure Trance spectrum.
Dimitri Kechagias review: Pure Trance recordings headed by the stunning artists Solarstone presents the brand new track that is absolutely gorgeous and trance at its purest and most honest form. Elfsong with great releases on labels like Solaris presents Seldarine. We deal here with an awesome production that sails within the realms of melodic progressive trance with warmth and tenderness that we usually find on balearic trance tracks. It has fantastic flow that creates that sense of constant movement towards an unknown direction that we even meet a beautiful siren singing her sea song. The breakdown is long and cinematic with various plucky synths, heavenly female voice that is the main focus point in here and haunting cinematic strings. The climax is full on and straight to the point with tones of energy, drive and melodic goodness. Various classic synthy and percussive colourful and very summery melodies build the magical soundscape that can even warm the most cold hearted person on earth. Seldarine is supported by Armin van Buuren in his ASOT radio show. The remix package is very interesting with Almar who translates the original into a high class uplifting banging euphoric trancer of the highest quality. Bouncy drum beats, driving energetic basslines, heavenly voices that add that sacred mysterious atmosphere, plucky melodies and even acid overtones. His climax is hands in the air euphoric trance that is very well produced and with sure impact on the global trancefloors. Last but not least is the upcoming and quickly climbing to the premier league Danny Stubs laid back interpretation that strips down the track to its basic components and build it from scratch into his own very personal progressive house meets trance style that take us back in the 90's when the British Progressive House scene was thriving.
